about spoon mirrors
ok guys, I've tried searching but I was wondering if anyone can tellme the differences between fake and real spoon mirrors. Because i found a set for really cheap and he sed they were real. But i can't really trust him.. please anything can help ..

I thought the real ones HAD blue tint. My friend has the fake ones and its clear and no blue tint on them.

They made some with blue tint, mine are older, do not have blue tint.

There's a strip of plastic that goes around the mirror on the real ones, kinda like a border trim. Also, on the passenger side mirrors, there's a flaw in mold, that leaves a scar or scratch in the plastic on most.

the new carbon spoon mirrors have blue tint and now rubber weather seal around the mirror its self...... and the base is black as most fake *** cf spoon mirrors are all cf
the older better
spoon mirrors that arnt cf have the weather striping around the mirror , they are not blue tinted . the passenger side will have a diagonal scratch , a defect rather , on the top . this is from the factory and is on all the mirrors. also on the inside of the base it will say honda.

damn right you cant see ****. if it werent for my broadway mirror Id be cutting people off left and right! I would have been super mad if I payed over $200 for mirrors that dont work! those damn mirrors are way over priced. w/ $50 I got what I payed for!

the rubber trim on real spoon ones eventually crack
both sides of mine cracked so I just removed the trim
I probably wouldnt look just for the rubber trim to figure out if a mirror is fake or not, mainly because I know there are people that took it off after it cracked
I also painted mine, so looking for scratches or whatever wouldnt work either

TYC makes a powered Spoon-style mirror that is blue tinted and made specifically for LHD. But as you can see, the base is way thicker than real or other fake Spoon mirrors:
