I have 2 b16a cable transmissions. Both have the 4.40 final drives....
one is in perfect condition-$500
one might have some syncro problems but does into gear $250

Im not good with chassis codes, so heres the gear ratios of both trans.

1- 3.230
2- 2.105
3- 1.458
4- 1.107
5- .848

with a 4.40 final drive

nope...but they have both been open and I counted teeth so I know what they are...thats even better then a gold sticker that says a code.

So, are you saying you have never used them yourself? Try sticking a 92+ clutch disc on it and see if it fits.

They are small shaft b16 cable tranys...88-91 jdm all came small shaft. 92-93 american ls and gsr came big shaft.

These are 88-91 JDM (non-lsd diff.) trans. with a small shaft.

 

I have used the beat up one, but not the other. I have opened up both for inspecion and to count teeth...thats why I know what the gear ratios are...

 

i have a cable lsd trans from japan on my del sol. ya now it has a prob.

So if i replace wiht one of these what is the clutch i need, is that the shaft your talking bout or is it a internal one

You would not want one of these transmissions because they are cable style where as you have and need a hydrolic trans...

Parts from the big shaft and small shaft are not interchangable...

 

so will the clutch you have for sale work on these transmissions?
