Dereck Bell in a Volvo S60R this year? (Speed GT)
Well they would probably need to get that motor in the 450-500 hp range for GT. Isn't the S60R FWD? That would be an interesting car to drive!
But like the touring 2wd imprezas, I'm sure they will be allowed to make some drive line changes as long as us watching can't tell a difference. (Until that first S60R FWD powerslide happens!)
edit: or is this car AWD? For some reason I remember something about the s60r being awd.

Seems like this is mostly a PR/publicity stunt for Volvo and Dereck. Can't imagine how that car could compete with the GT class front runners....
when the volvo 850 first came out they ran it in the BTCC and did pretty well. Would have been around '93 or '94 if you want to try to find the results.

Yeah, that was 94, and it was pretty cool that they used the Wagons. The look on people faces were pretty funny when they rolled out for the first time.

I don't think he drove it last year at all. He did drive the S4 in 2002 though.

Yeah, that was Pobst in the second Champion Audi car. He also won the Championship... I think.

Last week speed was added to a premium package in my area which requires you to spend the maximum per month possible in order to get it.
We bitched at them until they left our package the way it was though.

Auberlin won the Driver's Championship and Audi won the Manufacturer's Championship.
I like the Volvo. Bring it!
So how come the SCCA can make this series a success and then bungle the Trans-Am series?

Sorry, Auberlin won the drivers in Touring, Pobst won it in GT. Even says so on the WC site. Really.
