as i posted in a previous post, i over torqued the bolt to bolt down the cam journal (shitty *** torque wrench didn't click) and it snapped leaving the thread in the hole. so every journal has bolts except one.
i know it is common sense that this isn't a good thing but, should i worry too much? i start school and have to drive there (90 miles) and drive to school throughout the week. but, i am planning to get this fixed next sat after nhra event in pomona, when i get my headgasket put in along with my hondata. any help would greatly be appreciated. thnx

Take off the cam saddle and rotate the broken bolt out with a pick. How tight were you trying to make these things? should be like 12-20 ftlbs. Breaking it would have required assloads of over tightening. Replace the broken bolt- you would probably be ok depending on which bolt broke- at least for short term.

it is actually 7.2 lbs and that was what it was set at on the wrench but that thing doesn't click audibly at a low amount of torque. so, i fucked up and over torqued that mother.
what kind of pick are you talking about? i drilled a hole that is off center and can't get the bolt extractor in to get that pos off.
it is the longer bolt on the exhaust cam on the #4 journal. but, thanks again for the reply. i'm assuming not many people have made this mistake before.

IF it broke off going in then you should be able to use a pick- a screwdriver basically with a point like a needle- or if you have a hole drilled in the bolt- take a pocket screwdriver and grind the edges into a cone shape and make them sharp. Stick this end into the hole in the bolt- you could tap it in LIGHTLY with a hammer and then you should be able to remove the bolt by unscrewing it with the modified screwdriver- basically a homemade easy out. If you use a pick- try to turn the bolt by using the pick on the edge of the bolt. It should not be in the hole tight unless the threads were messed up or dirty before you put the bolt in.
