Hey guys did anyone else see Blake Fuller's newest installment in honda tuning? He got the car running and it's pretty damn cool to see rooster tails coming off an Integra! Anyway, go pick it up and hopefully Blake himself will come on here and shed a little more about how the car drives and how far he is into making the rally car.

I only ran threw the mag a little last night (tired) but I have been following the mag. He has an LS (originally to practice on before doing it to the type R) using a B20VTEC and cr-v tranny, driveline, and a whole bunch of modified rear suspension stuff. And it's 5 lug with type R brakes!!! He wrote that he drove it at 55 and stopped to make sure everything was still there! haha Go pick it up, Inline Four's 96 RHD R is on the cover. I'll write more when I get home (if someone else doesn't already fill you in)

I like the way this sounds

 

One of my old friends wanted to do that to his high 400 hp integra. I am sure those small crv joints would not hold under that condition but I am glad somebody our there has done it. Does anybody have any links to the article? Also, I wonder what the drivetrain loss would be on a honda motor with that setup. Would be interesting to know.

I went to HT's home page and like any other magazine, they're still showing like 2 month old issue. I imagine someone could make custom shafts for that much power.....maybe driveshaft shop or something...?($$$) It is going to be interesting to see if this modification will begin to grow.

 

I've got the Feb issue & IMO not bad considering the rear end is making noise.

I hope this nothing like the groaning that comes out the rearend of my CRV under 1/2 to full throttle.

Theres a buttload of fabbing goin on there, too many variables. I also wonder what the price tag on this kinda project must be too.

I thought you said it was AWD?

 

i went out to sebring and met him there. he says once he finishes that... he's gonna make it into a FR and make it a drift car. a reason is because they bought an STi so no need for a 4wd teg. not entirely sure if he wants me talking about it. sorry blake if you'e reading this. i also gotta say he is an awesome driver !!

 

This is as good as place as any to give Blake a . I ran in to him in Vegas during SEMA week, I needed a ride back to down town from the Motor Speedway and he let me pile in his STI instead of paying a limo/cab.

If I remember correctly wasn't he the one who ran Pike's Peak? and was featured in SCC for that as well?

I think when I spoke to him awhile ago when this AWD was just an idea before a real plan it was to run Pike's Peak again?

Ahh Sti explains it all then.

And when he did post here he did so in the RRAX forum BTW.

 

I would really like to see all that. I thought about doing something like that a long time ago, but the custom fabrication needed to make it all work and work well would have cost a lot more $$$ than I had available.

WRONG. I saw blake this weekend at Sebring as well. The car is done except there's no motor in it. His STI is nasty fast even with 5 people in the car on a parade lap
