TOPEKA, Kan. (Jan. 12, 2004) – The Sports Car Club of America, Inc. Technical Services Department announced today that both the Hoosier A3 S04 DOT tire and the Kumho Ecsta V710 DOT tire are eligible for several classes of Solo2 competition effective immediately.

SCCA Solo Technical Manager Doug Gill said the tires are now permitted for Solo2 competition in the Stock, Street Prepared and Street Modified classes after both styles of tire met requirements outlined in Section 13.3 of the 2004 SCCA National Solo Rulebook.

The tires will be allowed for the year’s first Solo Tour event at the Arizona Motorsports Park in Phoenix, Jan. 24. The first 2004 ProSolo event is slated for Atlanta, Ga., at the Gwinett County Fairgrounds, Feb. 14-15.
