Default Recomendations of Radiators? OEM = $$$!!!!

I looked at teh oem rad price and its liek 300-400 bucks!!!!

I need an aftermarket rad that is cheaper but around the same size as an aftermarket one. I cant have a rad that is too thick because it will hit my turbo manifold. Any recomendations please....

Thanks.

Is the OEM radiator too thick? If not, then radiatorexpress.com and teamradiator.com offer replacements for the stock one, and they're only 120$ or so.

Yeah it's the same as OEM - plastic top and aluminum, same thickness. Fits the brackets and fans and all, and comes universal like, with the AT hookups for the tranny cooler.

Well i finally found the crack in my radiator. Need to find a new one now....yeaaaa.

I think i will go aftermarket. Which is the best for a direct fit withas little modification needed. Keep in mind i still have my AC condensor. Im also willing to get new slimmer fans if need be. Thanks.

ok i think that C&R? makes a good after market rad that fits our cars and is around 400 -500. and as far as thin fans go, i think there are 2 that come to mind, and i could be TOTALLY wrong because its been a while since i have looked into this stuff. but check out SPAL and FLexaLite. i think thats what its called

If you get a replacement OEM, get a dual core with metal tanks. The plastic ones suck in my opinion.... especially when you are running a turbo car.

You can always get a Modine for like $120, if you need a contact number I can give you my buddies number. He will have to ship it to you from SC though.

On my old set-up I use a fluidyne radiator out of a gsr that I made little support brackets for the bottom and weld them on. I use the same radiator now, but I chopped up my radiator support to hell due to turbo clearance issues.

I would run the C&R with dual slim fit universal fans that summit.com sells.

C&R Mine came with one slim-fan... but I'm probably going to add a second fan. I like the end-tanks on the C&R. Seem to be better quality than other aluminum radiators.

I got it from Dynamic Autosports (949)457-1234. It's for the 4th gen. I believe 5th gen. radiators have different mounting brackets.
