Recovering leather seats on 94 Accord EX sedan - Anyone used Katzskin products?
I talked with the biggest auto trim shop in the area, and originally was considering a $ 550 front and back seat repair and patching job. The shop guy mentioned I could get a full front and back set of leather Katzskin (color matched) covers for around $ 1200 installed (approx 750 + 400 install) . Anyone used these products?
Car is a 4 door 1994 Accord EX Sedan with gray leather interior. I've already paid $ 1,400 to have a rear side panel (big) rust hole fixed at the body shop, and I'm wondering if $ 1,200 is a wise investment for a car with 75,00 miles on it.
Here is their website

Any suggestions appreciated!

i believe there are ppl on this board who have used high quality ebay leather kits for ~$300. Very high OEM-like quality for some of them. Check out ebay.
was that rust spot on the passenger side rear wheel well? thats a notorious area for rust to appear. they charged you 1400 to repair that.
The rust spot was there but it was due to a deep exterior scratch that I did not attend to, which grew over several years. By the time they had to fix it it had (according to them) eaten into the inner wheel well which involved the dis-assembly and re-assembly of several chassis sub-components to get to. They cut the entire wheel well out welded in a new one, along with a very smooth finish job and did not use body filler or mud style patch fixes. The fix is all new steel. The main part of the job cost was the labor.
