Do I just have a freak motor or what?

I had a run in with a CRX si with minor mods, like intake, exhaust, and other stuff.
We where on a road in Bowling Green Kentucky driving the speed limit, and he peaks over at me signaling that he would probably race, I was not in a racing mood so I just looked ahead, then he guns it and does not let off at all. he gets a car and a half in front of me, and I drop it in to 2nd and stomp it. i close the gap in a couple of seconds and pass him like he was just cruising at normal speed.

So i figured he let off way back before I flew past him, and he proabably figured I was doing a ricerocket fly bye, but I get top talk to him at a light that had stoped cars infront of us.
The first thing he asked me was, "do you have an engine swap or something".
I said, "no, I figured you let off"
He said, "not at all, I dropped to 2nd and redlined all gears until i got to 80, then let off."
I was shocked and wanted to try this again, but there was to much traffic, so I did not get to.

well that is all I have to say.
Do you guys think i have like a freak motor or something.

My car is a 90 Dx with the stock D15 motor it has a 3year old intake and 2 year old exhaust 2 1/4" with high flow cat.

I have noticed this happening before with another Si, but he had taken off way before I did and i only caught up, but this time I massacred him.

Any imput would be greaful. this is not suppose to be a kill so don't tell me this should be in the kills.

He probably has a tired motor. Although my GF's Si was VERY slow when she bough it, because the guy had a 2.5" exhaust on it. We got a stock-like exhaust on it and it is a lot more powerful.

91ED7Si, maybe we could see if my engine is strong right before I do the swap. For now it will have to wait, i am not driving home next weekend, my girlfriend wants to drive her CRX home.

If we still go to that junkyard, can we take your carsince mine will be down here at Bowling Green.

 

If your motor was built on a Wednesday, you got a freak motor. J/K. I heard that once before.

Actually, my friend had a 96 GSR 4 door and the motor was stock. But, it wasted so many other stock GSR's badly. Makes no sense.

 

maybe it would be good for a mini-me later on down the road, and I could put it in an old CVCC or something.

I heard it is possible, or am I mistaken?

Is it possible to put the Vtec head on the 1.5 liter block.

When I swap the B18c in I am going to play with the old motor.I am going to learn new thing, like how to port and polish the head and other fun things. Also i am going to make a mess with the old tranny, since the syncros are bad in it, I am going to take it apart and try to put it back together again.

 

Yeah, you can mini-me the 1.5, it would be killer in an old cvcc, at least for a play toy!

i need to get a turn signal for the 90 prelude si my mom just bought it got busted out with a rock i think.
i wanna look for the optional center console that hooks to the dash and maybe i dunno what ever else cool i find.
i might have to go over there first to make sure they got plenty of hondas and are open on the weekends.
i know some of the ones by crintended dr are closed on weekends and since i dont know the name of the place i cant look them up in the phonebook.
