Default D series crank shaft

does anyone know if there is a difference between D series cranks?

I'm rebuilding an Sohc vtec motor and the crank is bent.
I have a spare DX motor. just wondering if they have the same crank.

I know its stupid question for some tech guys, but help a fellow honda guy.

thanks

the cranks are different between D15's and D16's .... but within their respective displacements, the cranks are the same

except for teh D17.... it doesnt fit anything.

I ask because I got a D16 sohc vtec motor, but the front of the crankshaft is bent (it was dropped) Everything else bout the motor is good, but I also have a DX motor sitting around.

Would it make a huge difference by using a different crank?

which dx motor? a 1.5 or 1.6? If its a 1.6 (d16y7), it will work. Otherwise it is a nogo.

dx motor from 92-95, which i believe is not a 1.6.

anyone know how much an aftermarket crank costs for a 1.6 sohc vtec?

Sure, some stroker units too...but there is not need for anything but the stock crank. It is plenty stout for anything you can throw at it.
