Default manifold pipes - what size?

i'm building my own shorty-style turbo manifold.

could anyone give me some info on how big the inner/outer diameter of the pipes should be, as well as what thickness of the pipe walls is suggested?

should the inner diameter of the pipe exactly match the hole of the exhaust flange or can it be a little bigger?

thanks!
