is the 3496 the same as the 1157 bulb? i did a search and there isnt much info on it.

 

i don't know what the 3496 looks like off hand, but my guess would be, if they look the same, that it is only a wattage difference......so as long as it isn't too high there shouldn't be a prob using them instead of the 1157!!!

 

Socket size is the same. Bulb/glass is slightly different. Both are dual filament and both will work in your car. The 1157 is considerably cheaper.
