Proved that I'm a dumbass this weekend by rear ending some lady and messed up my CRX. I need to find a CRX SiR front end ASAP. If you know any shops in the SoCal area that has one in stock, let me know. I already tried JHP and JSpec. Thanks.
oh ok. thanks. that's all i wanted to know. i hear some people say that i have to weld on the SiR rad support, others say its merely a bolt on deal (as long as i change the hood with the headlights), and still others say that only the ef8 (zc) will bolt up with no problem. i was asking coz i'm about to buy a front clip for 400 (hood, headlights, bumper, rad support, corners, but no fenders) and i didn't want to have to weld anything onto my civic
if you want to do it right you need to weld on the complete radiator support. many people i have seen just make some brackets for the center part of the core support. this works but to me ends up looking like crap under the hood. when i did mine i had the body shop pull the front out a little so that the latch and everything else lined up. not the perfect way to do it but this is what i did. just in case you didn't know you don't need the fenders.
so what's this about the custom center bracket? is it hard to do for the avg do-it-yourselfer? i don't really care about under the hood cosmetics. just as long as it looks ok on the outside. how much did it cost to weld on the rad support?
