Default A quick ? about SCCA membership

Is there a date when 2004 membership applications are supposed to be sent in after?
How does it work? 1 year from date of application? or does it end on a given date no matter what?
Just want to make sure I'm applying for 2004 and not ending up with that'll expire on a strange date because its still part of the previous membership year. Thanks.

I honestly don't know - I just re-up when I get my renewal notice from national.

Mine shows up the same time every year (Dec. - the month I signed up) so I'd assume yes.

Yep, seems to be true -- I re-up every year in June, the month I first signed up.

The SCCA renewal process starts about 60 days before the end of your current membership (when you first joined date). You can renew as I do at the beginning of the year and it will apply when the time comes. Sort of an extension, if you will. Keep in mind that Competition Licensing is not in that package as such and must be in place at the proper time or you will not race. I will urge you to send it in when it arrives in your hands. Or you can call and renew over the phone.
For those looking for the 2004 GCR-they are being shipped now.
NASA is indeed annual starting January 1. You can renew online, by phone or mail. I have yet to see any paperwork come in advance-so do not forget to do it now.

Happy New racing Year

Mine is one year after the initial application date. I registered and received my membership in May, so I will renew in May 2004.
