Default New exhaust for future turbo upgrade. 99 Accord V6 sedan.

I've been looking around for a little while. I need something with high flow, and the deepest tone possible. The Apex N1 dual looks good, and the Greddy Evo dual too. I'm planning on getting about 500hp from it. Someone is going to say what's the point in that. I wanna take it to shows, race it on the track every once in awhile. And just to say it's got 500hp. As long as the exhaust is dual, real deep not high pitched at all, i'll be happy.

While I'm at it, would it be possible to change my AT to the 6-speed MT honda started puttin in accords in 03 i think? Cost isn't to much of a problem right now, but the exhaust is going to be a soon upgrade. It's leaking somewhere and making a sputtering sound.

Thanks

Definite sign of a n00b.

Okay, time for me to inform you. Here we go.

Because you have a V6, the only way for you to have a turbo is through a custom setup. Yes, it has been done before. http://www.hondasaurus.com/accord No company makes a turbo for the AV6. Only superchargers (Comptech).

Don't get the N1. Sounds like **** on an Accord. Plus you have an auto, so it will sound even worse. Evo is decent. $500 price tag. The piping isn't stainless steel, and the tip is a little too big for my taste. I'll post some A'PEXi WS sound clips from an AV6 soon. The kid should be sending them to me in the near future. Custom is always an option.

If you're expecting 500hp from an Accord...
1. you bought the wrong car.
2. you're out of your mind (somewhat ).
3. where are you getting the money?

Switch to a single canister if you want, that's your choice. Dual exhaust only belongs on a V8, IMO. That's where it serves the most purpose.

Are you rich? If so, you can do the manual swap. You'd have to use CL-S parts for the process. If not, don't even bother. Keep the auto. A conversion of this nature isn't cheap by any means.

Good luck, and welcome to the board.

Yeah lol nub I know, but it's not impossible. Wouldn't mind going with custom. I'm gonna ask the dealer about switchin to manual. Would it not be pointless to get that power if it weighed a lot less?

I can't find hardly any reviews with an exhaust for an accord...
Lotta people against actually getting HP from an accord. Is it that it's not made for it, just grocery-gettin lol?

The Evo II is stainless steel. Didn't see one for accord yet though. I'll keep looking though.

Thanks.

The dealer probably won't even know what the hell you're talking about. But go ahead, and ask him. I'd like to see what he says.

Like I told you, it's a tedious process, and will cost you an arm, and a leg.

a new accord 6MT will cost a shatload. go with a custom 3 inch exhaust. Its going to be an expensive project. custom turbo, forged internals, and all the other stuff it takes to make a 500hp accord will run you really high.

1)6th gen v6 only come with 4speed and their tranny likes to blow up,even without boost.

2)dealer doesnt swap part, when the last time you see Nelson honda swapped my d17 with a b18c1?

3)too bad there hardly anything aftermarket intenal for the v6 accord.

4)500 is possible, but dont wish it would start with one turn of the key, dont wish to pump gas at the station and start saving up now.

if you know what's up, you wouldn't even want to have a dual on your soon to be v6.
why there's so many s2k owner swaping to single canister exhaust?
why there's no secondary muffler on the 900WHP supra?
3inch custom with no resonator with a free flow end piece sounds just right, but dont plan to install that exhaust system without the turbo.

I believe he wants BOTH show and go, a route not many take. I thinks it's a cool idea that you have plans set out for your car like that but its gonna be hella expensive, but if you say you gots the funding for it then more power to you man. Not many people would go as far as you would. I haven't been on H-T for a long time but I can honestly say not a lot of people would even take their Accord that far simply just because its and Accord. I have yet to see support for somebody's project unless it's a simple turbo project or something along those lines. It's rare to see a all show and all go Accord. I've only seen one that impressed me as far as SHOW and GO on this forum and its in the turbo mani pics request post. The blue Accord with H23 swap, turbo, and BlackWidow kit. Thats one nice car and I'm amazed no one has called it RICEY yet.

What gen Accord are you talking about?

I've only seen one 6th Gen with a turbo H-series motor. And that is SIGMA CHI GUY from H-A.net.

@ 7.4 psi
272.2 WHP @ 7300 RPM
200.5 FT/LB @ 5400 RPM

And two dyno vids for you guys.
