Alright here is the deal my good friend has a 87 Legen it has the V6 in there and it has been running perfect forever. The other day he gets in it to go to work and it started and died. Now it will not even try to crank up? It is getting fuel to the fuel rail and it is getting spark but no start? Its like the injectors are not opening or something. What could be the culprit?

No it turns over fine just will not crank up. Doesnt even try and its getting both spark and fuel. Like I said doesnt seem like the injectors are opening up. Could that be the ECU?

 

Well I dont know what it was maybe some bad gas? But it finally started up but now it idles a little silly now. Maybe the idle air control valve is screwing up now. The idles surges

 

check the vacum lines for leaks

Edit: headgasket maybe. check the oil

Ill tell him about the vaccuum lines. There is enough of them on that engine that if for sure!
