IMO i would not trade a b16 for a b20! the cylinder wall on b20 are weak. Are you going to run stock block when you go turbo.

I would trade the B16 for the B20. Although B16 is vtec, you could do a lot more with a B20. B20 has more torque and a bigger displacement. If you wanted to get back Vtec, all you would have to do is get a head and you will be way faster than the b16 ever was.

i dont wanna go lsvtec
i want to go turbo with either my b16 or trade for a b20 and build that for turbo
both would be built top to bottom
if i resleeved the b20 would i gain any more space on the cylinder walls?
im just trying to figure out what it comes down too....displacement and boost
or no displacement boost and vtec......

If you're planning on building the bottom end then I would definitely go w/the b20. More displacement=more power. Yes the stock b20 sleeves are weak but if you are building it up I would say go w/the 2L. 9.5:1 forged pistons would do that setup nicely.

Go B16 turbo, that motor will run good turbocharged.

Do not. I REPEAT DO NOT! Give up a B16 for a plain B20, b16 compared to a b20 is bullet proof. You might so more torque out of a b20 but the potential of the b16 is far greater, if you love to rev the b16 is the creature to do it, it has a damn close to idea rod stroke ratio where the b20 is left wanting...
