sorry to hear that. don't let people who have no skills drive you car, ever. when in doubt, just kindly say no.
a friend of my swap in ITR suspension into his civic hb and the same day that it was done, he let a friend drive it. what do you know, hit the curb and bent a rim, and maybe some suspenion too. sucks ***.

sorry to hear...is your friend all right? could the car be salvageable at all or is it completely ruined? hope all is well in your hunt for another, you should be able to find one with all of them for sale these days

As with most things, it's not actually the material object (in this case the car) that would make me mad, it's the act behind it. If someone crashed my car, that would mean that they weren't driving it with the respect it deserved, and assumed since it wasn't their car that they could just do whatever they wanted with it. That's disrespecting me, not my car, and that's worthy of a consideration of how solid the friendship actually is.

You know... if people wouldn't let their hoochie momma drive their ITR... that's a special friend.
I treat my ITR like it's my toothbrush. It's for me, only... at least 3x daily!
Sadly, the ITR is one of those cars that is a blast to drive, inspires a bit of courage... and then dashes your hopes away with a little LTO or somesuch. They're not easy cars to drive fast, and can be unforgiving cars to drive recklessly, as we've seen...

Can yo atleast buy it back from the insurance company? Or is it that bad? Let your ITR live some other way. In a hatchback or something. Sorry to hear about your lose. Was he just driving it crazy or was it just a accident?

...which is exactly why I dont let ANYONE, not my mom, sister or girlfriend (practically wife) drive it....and especially my other Honda owning friends, b/c they are the ones that want to push it to the limits
I wouldn't want to drive it anyways... its too slow for my taste

just wondering.. but why are we all assuming that it was his friends fault? It most likely was, but he didn't say.. As for no driving skill and all that BS, without know what happened, how can you even claim the guy lacked driving skill? cause he wrecked a car? **** race car drivers do that all the time, I guess they have no skill either huh. fuggin we todds.

Dude I know you feel pretty bad now, but the same thing happened to me 3 years ago. I let my friend use my car to go and get us something to eat and he was hauling ***, hit a guardrail, and put my engine through the inside of the car.

MAN, i'm really sorry to hear that! is your friend alright? hope so. what happened?? man.. it saddens the whole boards when something like this happens.
