Werd. F40 GT LM is my favorite car of all time! It's acutally faster than the F50, too. Looks better as well...

Well then you should take a look at this:
http://www.mclarencars.com/con...s.htm
McLaren F1 LM 1062 kg's and 680 bhp from a 6,1l NA V12
Granted it's not been in production for some years and will be hard to get one used ($$$$$$$$$$$$$$$) but IMHO it's the greatest car ever made.

Other cars left out:
Pagani Zonda
All Lamborghinis except Gallardo
Saleen S7
TVR Tuscan Speed 12
Ferrari 575 GTC (super in my opinion anyway)
And the original Ford GT40, the first true supercar
BTW, which Porsche super car? Although 2 were just homolugation or one-off specials, they have made 3...

I'm going to have to vote for the Honda Civic as well, since I've never driven any of the choices here.
It's a shame that nobody can have an opinion on anything . . .

McLaren F1 hands down. Designed as the ultimate supercar and often regarded as THE supercar. The only (IIRC) production car to win the 24 Hours of Le Mans overall. Elegant, light, powerful, perfect. Designed my Formula 1 legend Gordon Murray.
Sure the Veyron will be faster (but it took them 16 cylinders and 4 turbos to do it) and there will be others that will eventually eclipse the F1's prodigious performance. But make no mistake, the F1 probably raised the bar higher compared to its predecessors than other production car.

F40 regular or LM version.
288 GTO
NSX-R
Ford GT
Anyone one of those would make me especially happy.
<== waiting for someone to write "this thread is worthless w/o pics."

This thread is worthless without pictures of the 288 GTO Ferrari....
Hmm, best supercar... my personal favorite would be the Vector WX-3 even though none were ever made for production.

Yeah, since nobody is allowed to have their own opinion on anything around here.

Well, if you haven't driven it or had close to first-hand-experience, then this is no different than being a magazine racer.

And who in the world has driven every "supercar" to be qualified to decide "the best?" Maybe Tiff Needels and Jeremy Clarkson, that's about it.
This sort of topic is all about "magazine racing." Get over it.
And I am pretty sure this thread was a mockery/gag anyway.
