It would be innovative if you were working for a company that had the funds to do plenty of research and development. What you are thinking of doing is ghetto, you just are trying to justify it by referring to F1 designs. Like I said before, not worth the time IMO. Then again what the hell do I know, I never heard of the V2
If you can produce a product that even slightly resembles a V2 then you will get mad props. If it looks like a filter on a tube, then it is ghetto. Good luck folk
