Default b16 2nd gen tranny notchy

Ok so i have a b16 2nd gen with whatever tranny came with it it has a kaaz lsd in it. I am running kaaz fluid which is 85w-90 thick as hell. When its cold I can barely get it outt or in a gear. Even after its warmed up every gear doesn't really grind but I can feel it going in like its "notchy" or something. I doubt all the syncros went at once. I was thinking gm syncromesh or redline or something but I'm worried about the lsd and the fluid is gonna be too light. Any ideas?

thats really thick. stock they use a 10w-30, have you tried swapping out the oil at all to see if that fixes it? maybe your forks were misaligned when it was put together with the lsd

i put kaaz fluid in and it was like $55 for 2 quarts, and I know I'll never be able to catch every bit of it when I drain and decide to reuse it to refill it.

wow 55 for 2 quarts. if it was me, i would prolly drive it for a couple weeks to see if things loosened up before i poured 55 down the drain. good luck

try gm synchromesh with friction modifiers, great stuff. It helped greatly on mine. not as notchy as before.

85w90 is way too thick
