Default 94 GSR - want to put in aftermarket wheel

Hi!
I am not a huge fan of the stock 94 integra steering wheel, and for shows and comfort I think it would be better to have an aftermarket one. Just wondering - the car will still run with the airbags detached, right? Is there some way that I can hook up a certain reistor to the wire so the airbag light doesn't stay on? What would be the best way to go about changing the wheel? I'm looking at a Momo wheel with a Momo hub. Is the install difficult?

I highly suggest using a J-spec SRS wheel. Hey it's even made by Momo. It's smaller and looks much better than stock, plus you retain the airbag. YES AIRBAGS CAN AND DO SAVE LIVES! My dad walked away from a full frontal collision at 60+ mph w/ no injuries whatsoever, and I have no doubt that his airbags played a large part in that. The other car came out of nowhere without any warning, and it was totally unavoidable. Keep functioning airbags, you might need them someday.

well there are 2 Momo wheels that came on J-spec ITR's, the newer one w/ airbag obviusly has a larger middle section. Both are 3-spoke. You'll know it when you see it. Search for pics posted by Canuck-MX6, he has it.

I have a jdm DC2 momo steering wheel with airbag, only problem is the older tegs 94-95 use a different plug for the airbag so you could not use it, as for the abs light I do not know the technical solution to keep it from coming on I cheat and pull the bulb

if your getting rid of SRS i can tell you how to properly defeat the lights and such but I would only encourage you to do so if you install and wear a harness - hans device optional. be carefull not to destroy the cable reel its actually worth money.
