YS1 is the code for 92-93 GSR and NON GSR tranny's. The code is the SAME on both.
So, externally there is no real way of telling. So hope you bought from a trustworthy source, or open it up and start counting teeth.

yes im talking about the 92-93 cable trannys
its marked YS1
are the imput shafts the same size? Because my 90-91 ls clutch plate wont fit on the imput shaft, i have heard that the grs is the only b series to have the larger imput shaft but im not sure if thats true

This is fact, so listen up and take notes:
1989-91 B-Series Cable trannies:
USDM A1/S1 from the DA Integra
JDM Y1/S1/J1 from the DA Integra and EF Civic/CRX
All have a 25mm input shaft. You must use a clutch from a 1990-91 Integra. Parts are very hard to find. I'd avoid them, but that's me.
1992-01 Cable and Hydro trannies
USDM cable YS1 long (LS) and YS1 short (GSR)
JDM cable YS1 short (XSi/RSi)
USDM hydro Y21, S4C, S80 etc.
JDM hydro Y21, S80, S4C, etc.
All have a 26mm input shaft and use any clutch from a 1992-01 Integra. All parts can be swapped among them, except cable trannies need slight mods to fit the hydro internals.
There is no way to tell the USDM YS1s apart. If you had a JDM YS1w/ LSD, that would be very easy. Rip it open if you really want to know. Or install it and see where your tach is at 80 MPH in 5th gear. The short YS1s are the shortest geared B-series trannies (not by much, though) except for the final drive ratio...

Well, the easiest way is to count the teeth on the final drive. I don't know the exact numbers of teeth, though.
LS- 4.266:1
GSR- 4.400:1
