Default Gauging interest in oem optional kit

As far as I know there isn't anyone that has really come out with an EXACT replica of the oem optional kit for tegs. Right now they have a couple, but they don't fit quite right and you have to drill stuff etc. Would there be any interest in getting oem optional replica kits for reasonable prices? In either poly/abs plastic or cf. Let me know what you guys think.

there would be huge interest in this obviosly. but the problems come in when fabbing the kit. the oem sides have brackets on the sides that stick out to meet the plastic clips that hold the stock skirts in place. the rears (as well as the sides) also have a small rubber weather strip thingy to keep water/dirt from getting trapped in there.

yeah I knwow hat you are talking about. The "replicas" I have seen so far do not have those tabs. What I am saying is a kit that HAS those tabs. Literally an exact copy.

Whatever material is cheapest, aside from the front lip, which would have to at least be ABS.

If you can make good pieces and offer them cheap, go for it.

To have the complete replica kit in the $200-$300 range would be nice, as that puts it at the same price the kit was going for when it was discontinued.

I really think the most wanted pieces are the sideskirts. I can't find them at a good price anywhere

OEM Ground Effects are the truth, I had a set on my last car and liked them so much I scoured the country for them... eventually ended up finding a set at a distant acura dealer, I suggest you do the same... there comes close to the quality of the oem body part. But yes there would be an interest in some copies...

if they made it in abs plastic or anything besides fiberglass i think many people would want it. Due to the poor fitment of fiberglass

I dont think this needs to get bumped....

Did you see the last thread with the interest for the Comptech lips? Trust me, there is a ton of interest, you just have to keep the costs down.

Alright, well I will look into getting them made. I might be able to do so, but the timeframe would still be a few months.

How about you get them made. Then we discuss this? - Action speak louder then words. Be great for you to get these on the production side, just keep the cost down and go from there.

I swear along time ago someone was going to get in touch or did get in touch with Wings West to start making them. They never did. I don't own a teg, but just from seeing the demand on these, I think you could make some pretty nice pocket change if you make a quality replica kit that was set at a low price. Good luck.
