I'm having to remove the trunk on my 1990 Accord DX sedan to be repainted. I already removed the 4 bolts, but how do I disconnect the covered wires (big black tube) that go to the taillights?
don't they unplug and you can leave them in the car but not on the trunk.....if not there should be mushroom plugs that can be removed and you can trace that to where they plug in.

unplug...and then wiggle the wires and trunk release through the trunk frame supports..
