How is this part of exhaust called?

Mine has broken on my 4G VTEC and Honda doesn't sell this part. Do I need to know the dimensions (lenght and diameter) to buy some aftermarket one? I can;t get under my car and measure it myself.

Sorry, I do not.

Honestly, I think your best bet is to buy a new header. I have seen a few places that sell the flex pipe but after buying it and then having an exhaust shop weld it on for you really will not save you much money. My recommendation is to get a Greddy header for your 4th gen.

I will see if i can find that website that had the flex pipe, if you don't know of any, for sale so you can make your own decision.

you should be able to just buy the downpipe with the flex pipe from NAPA, should be about 120$

hey is that playboy that i see on that wall in the background ... yeah the flex pipe was what went on my stock header. you should either just buy a new header, or you could go to an exhaust shot and they could weld you in a new one. good luck

same here flex pipe blew out.. sucked. Honda wanted almost $700 for a new A pipe... I bought a cheap one that was a little broken at the flange from someone on here. Might want to see if anyone has their stock one kicking around they might let go cheap. I would never spend the $700 on a stock one when you could get a whole header for around that.

not everyone lives in sunny CA we have pretty nasty winters here.

Petr- you can buy the flex pipe separately and have it welded for cheap.

BTW why don't aftermarket headers have a flex pipe at all? This makes whole exhaust system stiff...

well if you really want i can take a picture off it, its out of the car right now. maybe thats why most aftermarket headers don't come with flex pipes they hurt power numbers, maybe thats why DC sucks!

heh...
Yeah I don't even understand why they have flex pipe. I mean sure the motor is going to move a little bit but come on it's not secured with bungee cords...

What header do you have now?

HAHAHA. Don't be pissed, man. Cottonwoods is a good guy. He has a WEALTH of knowledge. I have a feeling he dislikes it when people spread incorrect information over the Internet.
