One word... WOW...

I finally had the opportunity to go against the new RSX- Type S and in a way I am kinda confused on how I should really react... But I am hoping you can comment on this experience of mine and answer these questions of mine...

We pulled off to the side of the road to talk to each other and race... Well ere is wat had happened...

For me from 1st - 3rd gear the RSX was ahead of me, I was at his fender the whole time. Then in fourth gear i slowly pulled and was head to head with him, I didn;t think much of it because we were approaching a traffic light so i had assumed that he had let off the gas and applied the brakes... But after the run we stepped out again and commented on each others car he was impressed and I was also.

Anyhow here's wat I have in my ride... 96 JDM ITR Motor w/ i/h/e , Integra Sedan, 17's and System. I am not trying to be cocky or anything so please don;t think that... My purpose of this post is to find out wat potential time could this mean for my car and the 1/4 mile time for th RSX Type S. Any one can help me out and give me an estimate of how fast my car could be... Thanx..

 

Well, so far, most of the RSX-S that runs at track are running low 15's. But in the magazines, they run 1/4 in 14.8s.

If you take our the system, and slap your stock 15's back on, I think you'd be right there with 'em.

 

Those 17's and the stereo can't to any good for your times.I have an intake and header.I have no problem beating the RSX S.

Wow. You have an ITR with CAI/H/E and only ran a 15.15? How did you launch/drive your car? You should've ran at least mid/low 14's...

And as for the RSX-S. 16.49? Godamn! That's slower than a stock Integra LS!

 

Yeah, I am not the best driver by any means and I think my R is on the weak side. I launched around 4K and got a ton of wheel spin that turned into wheel hop. My second gear shift was kind of slow b/c I was trying not to spin. I have seen R's with my same trap speed with ET's in the 14's, so it's probably my launching.

 

I am surprised the RXS-S did so poorly. Every article Ive read puts it at 15.0 or so in 1/4 mile. I think the driver makes all the difference.
