Default Tranny grinds, WAIT!!! not anymore??

Grinded for a while (months), but yesterday, no hard bumps, no hard shifting, I dunno, It stopped grinding 3rd for no aparent reason.


This is good news of course, but y did it happen?

For some strange reason, if you drive the car very hard, redlining a few gears for a short period of time (5-10 minutes), the minor grinds will disappear.

How do I fix this? I know a lotta people say GM syncromesh or whastever it is, and some people say it could be my short shifter


And am I causin damage by grindin it?

i'd say it's both. you are probably doing some minor damage when it grinds...... after all, it is "grinding"..... metal grinding metal does not lead to both metals being happy......

id check all your tranny and motor mounts, i had a broke motor mount that made my third grind and eventually i lost it then id get it back, then id lose reverse then id get it back!!

ive heard if u use honda mt fluid it helps with relieving some of the grinds.

Yeah I have honda mt fluid and was gonna try that gm syncromesh.

I might get rid of my sshifter too (tenzo)
I heard that the type r short shift wont grind, Is this true?

And my mounts should be perfect. Brand new hasports, maybe only a few months (3) old.
