adjusting my cam gears help
ok i got some str cam gears on my gsr motor and i want to go +1degree on intake and -1degree on exhaust and 18degrees on timing how exactly would i go about doing this please help me break it down for me please thans for the help
just loosen up the bolts that hold the cam gear from adjusting, not the bolt that holds the gear to the camshaft. put a rachet on the cam gear to camshaft bolt turn it to where you want it, 1 notch or 1 line tighten that one, do the the same to the other one. Just make sure the inner part of the cam gear is turning, not the timing belt, or you won't be adjusting it.
ok if your looking at the gear from the driver side to retard exhauts turn it one notch to the left or right and the advance is one notch to the right or left thanks
and how do i put my timing at 18dgrees
and how do i put my timing at 18dgrees

To set up cam gears correct you need to use a degree wheel and locate tdc exactly.Zero (tdc) on replacement gears is rarely the same as zero on stock gears. If the heads been surfaced or the block was decked this will change cam timming.Adjusting cams on the dyno will work but its trial and error because you don't know exactly where your starting from without degreeing the cams from the start.
