Default newbie here. Got a couple ?'s

Whats up fellas. Newbie here and i currently own a 92 VW Corrado VR6 and a 96 VW GTI VR6. Anyways, im getting interested in builing a CRX. Im looking around the papers and Autotrader to find an old beat to **** CRX for around $1000. I really dont want to turbo my project CRX since the car is so light anyways it it would also be gutted. Ive seen some of these cars run at the drags and with just an LS motor swap, THEY ARE QUICK ..
So thats the question. What would a good motor be for my Honda that i wont get old with? And about how much is a swap?
If im coming off like an idiot, im not. I know alot about sport-tuning cars but mainly i just wrench on VW's.
Please dont flame me or be an ***. Im just looking for help

thanks guys

You should talk to sircrxracer. He has a 91 CRX Si with LS Vtec swap, and a drag CRX too. He should be able to help you out. If you can, when you are looking for a CRX, get an 88 HF. They are the lightest and easy to swap with if you are going drag.
