Got To Test Drive an s2k (Im only 18 so that was big for me)
I got to test drive one of my brothers friends s2k, and that **** was great. I didnt push the car for the fact that if I did, I would be breaking the law and the streets of nj are shitty but its far different than a hatch. Ive gotta get one and join the club!

ya the s2 dont really hold there values, as compared to the itr's. im sure if u wait a bit the prices will be reachable. as for my bro, he even ask if he can take it out. but i told him if hes going to meet chicks he can haha, if not then no. i just hope he lets me drive his delsol when he gets his motor. man i miss my dohc93hatch. especially hitting vtec in a bseries. sometimes it makes me wonder why did i sell it. im still confuse.

"how is everybody's insurance"
That would wildly depend on your age/driving record/location. Mine is only about $25 a month more than the insurance on my Civic was.

driving the s2000 can get you in trouble sometimes. by the time i hit vtec in 2nd gear, im already breaking the speed limit for the highway. i need to find a long, flat and empty roadway.

My dad owns an S2000 and I'm 16, since I'm a responsible driver (hah) he lets me take it out by myself once in a while.
I have never seen him hit 9... Heh I've done it a *few* times..
I too hate how by the time I shift into second I'm already at 50mph+ and I have to slow down on most roads...

please be careful. RWD is very tricky and I don't want to see you crash your dads car. Just be safe.

180 MPH are you shitting yourself?
I'd give a stock S 155 tops.
You are 16 years old. You can't even drive your Civic well enough not to crash it. Don't get cocky.
Take the mans GOOD GOOD advice and BE CAREFUL.

Ok you're right I was watching a video and the guy was doing 180 but I looked again and it's KM/H...
I don't drive fast, I accelerate hard once in a while, I don't see how driving an S2000 is any different than driving a civic if you stay within the speed limit..

I agree I traded my friend my Supercharged Integra for his S2K for a week and now even though my car is faster, I have to have one. The car is so refined. it's the **** no question .

Haha I never said I don't accelerate quickly.. I've had a Jetta VR6 and right now I have a 98 CX hatchback which is soon getting traded for a 2000 Si with c5 swap..
I have practiced shifting and what not in my civic so I know how to accelerate hard in the S2000... I rarely chirp the tires though cause by the time I get into second gear I need to slow down anyway.

Not to get on your case or try to condenscend, but the S2k is not a Civic. Shorter wheel base + lighter + RWD = Oversteer. Trust me, I have had the S2k's supposedly "no torque down low" engine kick the whole back of the car out just like a nasty domestic with a torque breathing V8. You don't have to be anywhere near the speed limit to have a loss of control go terribly wrong. Be careful dude, and always respect the car. The second you think you control it, and lose respect for it, it will kill you.

I drove my bro's s2000 a few times and while my car car can keep up in a straight line, there is no camparison to my hatch.
My next car is an s2000, no doubt about it.

Whoa whoa whoa, if your driving the s2k like a civic you ARE going to spin out and crash. No matter what speeds, if you gas out the corner a little too hard.. your going to kick the rear out. It happend to me last night but luckily I caught it. 20mph on a left turn and the rear went out under me. Good thing I kept it on throttle or else I would of been over a median onto oncoming traffic. Be careful with this car!
