Accord Hubs in an Integra Knuckle?
I'm wondering if the outer race on the Accord Hub Bearing is the right size to fit in an Integra knuckle. If not, I'll need to have the opening in the knuckle machined to fit the bearing, what kind of machine will do this? Or should I find a bearing that has the same Overall Diameter of the Integra Hub bearing, with the same Inner OD of the Accord Hub? Any other suggetions welcome.
To do this you need to have the accord hub lathed down to fit into the civic bearing. However, you can also just get stronger hubs to start, by getting some prodrive hubs. They have the accord spline and press into a civic bearing out of the box.
Thanks for the reply, will the Accord hub lose much strength if lathed down to fit civic bearing? I know Pro-Drive has a nice setup, but I have access to machining and need to keep costs down.
its best to use the 96 up civic ex spindles to do this. they have a much larger bearing than previous years. the hubs can be machined down slightly to fit the civic bearings. you must use the hubs from a 98 up 4 cylinder accord. the hubs are around 30 dollars wholesale per side from honda.
