Default need help with getting my exhaust cam to seat!

i'm putting in the exhaust cam back in and it won't seat. i would put the #6 cam journal in first and i wouldn't be able to put the #1 cam journal in because the cam would pop back up. need help pls. thanks in adv

Start all journals hand tight at the same time. Make sure your timing marks are lined up properly first or you will bend valves. Pull each journal down a little at a time. Good luck!

you could bend valves if the cam isnt lined up and it pushes open a valve that happens to have a piston right below it!

If the cam is in wrong, you will be opening valves that should be closed as you are tightening the cam journals. This will force the valve into the piston and bend it so it would never seal again. This can't happen if your cams are aligned properly when you do your install.

so as long as i have the cam lined up at TDC on the number one piston, then i'm good?

If cam is on the mark and you are on #1 TDC, all should be well!
