green ring inside brake booster vacuum line
i tapped my bov into the brake booster vac line, and i found this green ring inside the line before the one way valve. The ring looks like to restrict air in the vac line. why would there be such a thing? i thought they made the brake vac line big for a reason, then they restrict the flow?

That is really strange... I do know that when I cut my brake booster line near the check valve, the valve itself was both a 1 way check valve and a restrictor. It pretty much limit the amount of flow to near nothing. Go figure why they would use such a large vac line off the motor just to restrict the flow to nearly nothing halfway down the line.
I cant tell you what the green ring is, perhaps something that they use to aid in shoving the check valve down the hose? Or like you said, a restrictor of some sort.
