Default timing issues after putting on gude head package

ok well the mechanic wasnt much help. for starters when i hooked up my timing gun(cheap one) i see the tdc mark. when i hooked up my timing gun before the swap i use to see the 15 mark. when i tell him that he says well he checked overall timing and it was good. also he said my gun was basically lying to me cause when i jump that lil connector nothing happens. he said i mush have a short in the connector. cause he said normally when u jump that u hear your engine stall a lil. but everytime i jumped that connector i never heard that. so know its like i dont know what to do he say find out my came spec and vavle lash specs so he can adjust accordingly. my only problem is i dont know and how come i cant see the 15 mark when before i could see it when i hooked up my gun? yes i tryed to turn the dizzy back and forth and still couldnt see the 15 mark just the tdc mark. wat is wrong here

maybe your cam gears are off a tooth... are you sure everything is at TDC?

thats the thing i'm not sure and would like to find out cause when i throw a timing light to the flywheel i'm seeing the tdc mark instead of the 15 mark no matter how much i turn the dizzy. so that much mean that everything is not a tdc right?

usually it does. is the car idling ok or does it seem to stumble a bit... if so try to get it to hold idle around 800 rpm and try to check the timing then.
