k well i was driving in bumblefuck farmlands and since the traffic was literally averageing 95 mph (not joking) i kept it in 5th, and got up to 105... then the power just cutoff, felt like it reached a speed limiter or something (ive done 115 before...) i have a mugen chipped ecu so i dont have a speed limiter... anyone know what the hell is going on??? thanks

 

where did u get the chip done at? should have not cut out on u..when does v-tec kick?

 

I don't know about that Mugen ECU you have, but all USDM Integras do not have a speed limiter. Even if you kept your stock ECU, you would have no speed limiter.

Your car is limited by horsepower and friction, that's it. Maybe you were on a hill, had A/C on, it was windy, etc. Could be lots of things.

My LS could easily reach 140+ indicated on the speedo even before I had the turbo on.

lol fland lands, a/c was off, no wind. ive got a fully built motor in a 13 second car, 100% sure it wasnt because the car is too slow it felt like something electrical, it just cut out on me... now that i think about it, im not sure if vtec was kicking in in 5th gear...?

My 2g had a a limiter at 125. My friend has the exact same model still (92 LS) and he had a limiter (125 also) too untill he got a new chip...

So unless I've seen 2 freak cars then you are wrong...

Oh, I'm sorry, I was talking about 3rd Generation Integras.

 

speed limiter has nothin to do with it, as i said before, ive gotten the car up to 115 no problem... idk why it would just suddenly do this to me

hey did u try checking to see if all your wires are still in good shape? also chekc all your ecu connections, check your air filter, and also if those dont show up with anything jsut take it to a friends shop or a shop and just get it checked out, since u dont really know that much right now about it i wouldnt mess with it so better let the pros handle it , if u are in north cal i can help but if not then u know what to do
