Sounds stupid but check your ground wires...happened to me. Car wants to start but it had a bad ground...go figure.

check your fuses in the engine bay first.. that's where most of the critical fuses are, then check the others if there aren't any blown fuses. However, just becuase you're getting sparks doesn't necessarily mean much.. take off the dizzy cap and inspect it. if need be take some fine grain sandpaper and clean off the brushes.

have you done a diagnostics? what year and model car? pull the carpet under the pass. side dash back a ways and you'll see the ecu cover. there should be a hole with a led flashing when you turn your key to the ON position. count the flashes. If there are multiple codes, the led will flash a sequence, then pause, and the next error sequence will flash.

The vtec spool solenoid valve sensor shouldn't have anything to do with it.

take your iat sensor and put it back on. my bet's on the dizzy cap. my beater ef did the same **** to me this fall.. it was flashing all sorts of codes and i took the damn dizzy cap off and replaced the rotor.. put a new cap on, worked for a bit, then I put the old cap back on and it's been running fine since then.

check firing order....1-3-4-2

check grounds....MUST HAVE GROUND ON TRANNY ON A HONDA!!! ask me how i know....i spent countless hours trouble shooting that one!

Check to make sure crank is at TDC when cam(s) are at tdc....

other than that don't konw what else would cause it not to fire....if it has fuel and spark should crank!

make sure your distributor isn't 180 degrees out. take it off and rotate the shaft 180 and put it back on.

I dont think they can be put in 180 off! They won't fit right! Make sure you plug wires are all correct! Check the grounds, like the one on the valve cover, and the one on the thermostat! The three main components for a running engine is spark, fuel, and timing! So If your getting 2 outta 3, check your timing!

get a wire and put it on the
postive (+) of your starter and on the
postive (+) of the battery then try to crank.

Do you have an alarm on it? Cut off switches?
