Default starter

I own a 1994 Honda Accord. The starter is bad and it needs to come out so I can have it re-built. How hard of a job is this? Do I access if from the top or bottom?
Any help is appreciated...

Honestly if i were you i wouldnt bother re-building that starter. I have a 95 Accord and I replaced the started last year it isnt too hard of a job its just takes alittle time and patience. You need to take the batter out thats the only thing there are 2 bolts on it one is on the top where u can see it and the othere is under the started really an easy job. But dont bother with the rebuilt just get a new one

yea dont rebuild it. Unless your really bored and have money to blow. You can get a Reman'd one at Honda or even AutoZone for less money than it would take for you to rebuild one

yeah, right on, just buy a remanufactured one from autzone, mine was $150 for my 97 accord after i got my core charge back. it took me about 30 minutes total once i found my 14mm socket. you have to remove the battery and use an extension to get to the bottom bolt which is a 17mm and the top bolt you can see is a 14mm. just make sure you have a breaker bar or cheater's bar handy. i didn't have one so i took apart of my little sister's old razo scooter things and used the handle bar as a cheaters bar. those bolts are in there tight.
