recently I just put in some GC with KYB AGX and didn't cut the bump stop when doing it , and now I finally have the chance to do it.

How hard is it to cut the bump stop?
And kind of special tool?
Should I take it out of the shock and cut it?

I was thinking of using a saw....haha
any ideas?

It is pretty easy cutting the bump stops, I just use a hack saw it works great, and yes take the bump stop out and then I put one end in a vise not to tight and cut the bump stop. Hope this helps, Jordan.

I always have a sharp knife with me at all times. I didn't lower my hatch I had someone do it for me (didn't have the time to do it myself). I lowered my old 4 door I used to have and I cut the bump stops with a knife in the middle of a parking lot. They're really easy to cut. Any cutting tool would do fine, hacksaw, knife, sawzall, whatever your choice. Good luck

 

It's like slicing bread, if you have a sharp utility knife. That stuff is just a dense foam.

Taking it out is the best way to do it, you may risk nicking the shock shaft.

 

take out the whole shock. You could easily ruin the shaft.

you can even cut it with a razor blade
