what is wrong with my car?
My clutch engages when near the top of the pedal stroke and I tried adjusting the little push rod thing, but it didn't seem to help much. I drove my friend's pretty stock `90 Integra with a new Exedy Clutch and it engages really close to the floor. BTW, mine is a D16Z6 with stock clutch (50k miles on it). Does anyone know what might be the problem?
Also, (this might be dumb, but i'm just curious) I cant get the tires to "chirp" when shifting from 1st to 2nd. I have Bridgestone Potenza S-03 tires and they are pretty sticky tires, but I don't think they're thaaaaaaat sticky to not even chirp the tires from 1st to 2nd.
I think something is probably wrong with my clutch/clutch related parts. What do you guys think?

I have a D16Z6 also...my clutch **** the bed (couldn't go in and out of gears without serious effort) so I installed a CenterForce Dual Friction. I would replace the clutch if you hear a squealing when starting off or if when you shift and then get on the gas hard the RPMs go up but you dont speed up (slipping). If you really really want to chirp the tires just dont let off the gas when shifting....the RPMs will go up when you have the clutch in and then when you let it out they should chirp.
Peace.
Peace.

when i redline 1st, shift to 2nd, and get on the gas again.. it continues to pick up speed instead of just the RPMs going up, so i dont think the clutch is slipping YET. but i might just get a new clutch when i go turbo anyways. i like the engagement to be closer to the floor and all my friends cars that have aftermarket clutches feel like that.

well when you plan on doing any performance upgrades you should always look into upgrading driveline components first
clutch should be first on your list and you should always get a quality clutch
because this is what actually puts the hp numbers to the wheels
if it wasn't for the clutch the transmission would be useless
take it from someone who knows that being stranded, because of not upgrading properly, sucks
