WHATS THE DEAL!!! i the heads on my stock c32A because of overheating problems (typical).... i won a bid on ebay for a type II C32 with low miles (1,200 bones).... then, i called pohanka acura asking them about it just to make sure the swap was lagitimate and found out it won't work because the electronics is all different... I guess the air fuel ratio will be different than my present motor... ... can't think of much else. Do I really need a type 2 ecu?

 

you dont HAVE to have it, but you want it. that is the whole point of having a type 2. the type 2 heads have much better flow, but the only way to take use of that, will to use the type 2 ECU, which will dump more fuel into the engine, to go with all the extra air going through...if you use the type 1 ECU, then there is a chance you could run lean...which you do not want at all.
