Check engine light is not on. The car has 85K miles on it and was running fine, then one morning I went to start it and it won't. It's getting spark and fuel, and the timing belt is still in tact (cam is still rotating) but it wont start. I'm thinking the belt slipped a few teeth and that's why it wont start, it fires randomly when turning it over but won't run on it's own.
I havent checked the timing yet but I will double check before I go order these parts.
Thanks for the help,
-Jeff

Don't bother checking the timing. It won't do you any good as it's controlled by the ECU and not manually adjustable.

go ahead and check the timing, it's good to know.
there should be a pin in the passenger seat.
valve adjustment and new valve cover gasket with spark plug boots

Also one thing that I noticed on my car...it was leaking a little bit of oil, check the oil pan gasket too...just to be safe (better than sorry) I know these tend to go out around 80K to 100K)
