Edit: Opps, didn't mean to post here. Sorry.
To keep it on topic, i say you keep this car and also pick up another car. This car can be used as an Auto-x/road race ONLY car, while the newer car can be used as the daily driver.

Oh yea, So yes, i am parting it out, if there is any requests, please e-mail me at veggiemaster@hotmail.com with what you need and how much you are willing to spend.
you know, Instead of parting it out you should look at two things:
-timing belt
-distributer shaft
When cars get higher mileage, the timing belts don't break but slip teeth.
the garage you went to will tell you $700 for a job that takes a novice mechanic about two hours with the right tools, unless you dropped your valves, then it will be alot to fix and the motor will probably never run right unless it is done professionally.
Or it could also be your distributer assembly. I was out in my integra one night and me and my girlfriend pulled up and sat there for a minute and let it idle and it stalled. I tryed to start it but, nothing. Me and my dad later figure out it was a sensor on the distributor shaft and you had to replace the whole shaft assembly. The same problem also occurred on my sisters boyfriends 91' accord and it was indeed the distributer assembly.
just try them two things and maybe you'll find out you don't need to part your

you can get a replacement motor for that car for about $400 if not cheaper thats why i asked. if your truly low on cash getting a newer teg , let alone a GSR will be much more thna fixing your car now.
yea, i went through all of this, but if i choose to fix this, i pay, and i dont get to buy my books for this semester, if i junk it, my parents are going to loan me the money until i get it paid off. i know, its a retarded situation.
me.
me.

Exactly that is the beauty of the Ls, it's cheap as hell. When **** breaks it usually cost more to fix it than to replace it with another healthy engine
Itr206 is right, If your in College the last thing you need is a big car payment to stress you out.
Look around and find yourself another cheap Ls longblock, It will be a better decision in the long run.

Theres your answer, Fix it yourself with your $ ,and ask your parents to loan you $ for books. That way your car is running again, and youll only owe your parents $300-500 instead of a car. Lending you $ for books is a better investment than a car, I garuntee you they won't disagree.

hah, yea, youd think. but for some reason, me paying them back for a car for 3 years is better than me paying them for books for 3 months... Yea, i know, retarded logic.

thanks for that one... But anyway, i have decided to junk it and part it out. I will post pics and jazz later. So yea, time for a new GSR...
