Default Dash wiring like whoa

Ok, this being my first post and all I would just like to get the "please dont flame me cause im a newbie" thing all said. I did a search for this already but didnt get what i was looking for. Im doing an integra dash conversion on my 98 civic. I have the cluster wired up (sorta, stupid wires) but im a little cornfused about the climate controls. from what i have found the plugs for this should just go right in the back of the integra climate control no problem. The thing is when i turned it on the little lights inside of it wouldnt come on. Is this a cluster problem or a wiring problem.

thnx in advance

So you did this on your 98 civic? Let see sum pics. I've an integra dash in my 92 hatch right now. But that's old. I have never seen it done in a 98 civic.

give me a little while on the pics i have to get a special battery for my camera. It wasnt that big of a deal, but it was a pain in the ***. the worst was rewiring the climate control

I think there's a wiring diagram for this on http://www.merrITR.com . She did it in her EK and posted pics of the wiring and stuff...

that is only the gauge cluster. I found this site to be more helpful http://www.geocities.com/_nitr....html . also provided for an easier idea of where the plugs were. I think its because i went from an obd2 harness to obd1 harness. im still working on the defrost and hazard switch. they are a little different than the rest of the switches. everything had almost the same wiring just in a different area.

i found that mine lined up almost perfectly. theres a concave spot needs a little more taken out. Im going to do that when i recover the panels.

looks good, I am still waiting on the heater/ac box, and the dash mounts before I can toss mine in

is there anything else I'll need, it's going into a 93 hatch... I think I have it all figured out, but just want to be clear, I have the integra steering column, the dash mounts on the way along with the heater/ac box... anything else you guys can think of, and yes I have the dash already

what about the vents in the dash, the ones that go behind everything and directs the air to the vents... I think I am going to need those too...

is it really worth all that to swap dashes?!?

no it is not really worth it to swap dashes. once i had ripped off most of the other dash and started i found myself getting into it then i got really pissed at how many wires were back there.... then got really really pissed when the first harness i made turned out to be wired from a 97 integra. Now that every thing works and looks almost complete, im satisfied with the out come.

i dont think you need the heater and ac box, i used my civic ones. the only real difference like i said before was the placement of wires. oh, and i dont know about the 92-95 body, but when i tried to hook the hot/cold air cable up it wasnt long enough to put the car on "cold" all the time. I just used a piece of metal i found on my garage floor and drilled to holes in it to give the cable a little more length. works good, and was easier

you dont need the ducts for the vents, i pulled that **** out and put dryer vent tube in there.

by the way, why can i only post 5 messages every 24hrs thats supa gay

I'm pretty sure you are one of the first i have seen to attempt the dash swap in a 6th gen. Sorry if we can't help you out, there just isn't much info bout doing the swap in a 6th gen. Maybe you can do a full writeup? Good luck.

yup, dave gets a thumbs up from me. im using the civic door panels. The integra ones that i have are about an inch and a half to short. Im going to try the heat gun method, but i dont think thats going to work to well. Im also entertaining the idea of, stripping the material off the panels and cut and paste with some fiberglass.
