Stolen: Black Turbo 99 Civic SI>> San Antonio, TX
My friends 99 SI was stolen on Monday night between the Hours of 10:00pm and 8:00am the next morning. He isn't a member here on Honda-tech, but i know there are so many of you all out there that i had to atleast get the word out for him.
I don't have any pics of his car, but its a black 99 SI, very stock looking w/ oem wing, lowered on stock SI wheels.
His Mods:
Drag 3 turbo Kit
AEM EMS
FJO wide band O2
Walbro Fuel pump255
RC 440cc injectors
Tial 35mm wastegate
GM boost solenoid
MSD ignetion
AEM fuel rail
Thermal 3" exhaust
I'll try to get him to send me some pics, If there is anyone in San Antonio here, keep your eyes peeled. I really feel for my friend, he had so much invested into his ride.
thx for your support H-t.

Nope, all he had was that Honda Keyless entry that came with his civic. It sucks because these thieves really got a full package with my buddys civic.
yea that does suck, my crx was stolen in dallas a few weeks ago.. if i had put a kill switch on it.. *sigh*

Me too man.... He started listing suspects and among those is a shop in the North east of San Antonio... "Presion R" is what he said. These are the only peeps that knew about his car and he told me he showed them under his hood and ****. My friend is new in San Antonio so this place must have something to do with this.
And when we find out, these thieves are going to roast.

Good luck with the find, Thieves truly need to stop leaching off others possessions and hard-earnings.
Shops are often behind thefts, but it's hard to prove they are. You can't accuse an entire shop since it's always some crooked employee which nobody was truly aware of his actions.

Well, thats true. All im stating is what i heard from my friend. He also said that these people at the shop look/ act like a bunch of goons or crooked people. But you're right, it;s probably an individual ( or two) that are in on this. But i am saying this more than likely happened because he exposed the car at the shop.
sad but true

First off, the car has an intercooler which is very visible so the Precision R guys are not the only ones who knew about his car.
Second, I've known William and the Precision R guys for a while. William would be the last guy that I would suspect of car theft. It's possible that a customer in the shop at the time heard him talking about it, but I would bet money that Precision R had nothing to do with it.

Thanks for the feedback on the shop. I'll be sure to let my friend know what you said. I don't live in SA and don't know the shop, so i can't judge them. My friend has just recently moved to SA and has gone to the shop only that one time. No body has ever followed him home, and the fact that the only exposure his car ever had was at the shop points in that direction. Could have been a customer or employee.... who knows... could even be an individual who spotted the intercooler like you mentioned. We'll just have to wait and see what turns up.

Cars are stolen frequently in San Antonio. Two of my brother's cars have been stolen. All it takes is someone seeing that intercooler or a nice set of wheels and it's gone.
Precision are only has a couple emlployees and those guys are not thieves. They don't even look like "goons" like your friend said. They're just skinny little guys
