Default Is there any PERFORMANCE diff's between the 94-97 GSR's and 98-01's?

I know about all the cosmetic differences but i've driven several stock gsr's and drove them in the exact conditions all the time and some seem faster then others.
Also, are the braking systems the exact same as well as the suspension (Not the design but thier spring rates/dampening rates)

Most people argued that the 94+95 GSR are faster than the rest since they are OBD1. Best way to find out is search for dyno sheets.

All models are the same brakes (axle's changed w/ABS), except the type R is bigger of course.

There are NUMEROUS factors as to why some would seem faster than others.

suspension is the same, I believe.

It all depends on the health of the motor and tranny.

i also heard somewhere that more 95's came out with freak motors... don't remember if that was related to the obd1 or not tho.

Just because the cars are manufactured the same doesn't mean they'll perform EXACTLY the same. Aren't there little variables in manufacturing that can affect its performance as well? I highly doubt that if equal drivers drove random new gsr's, they'd all time the same.

It is the same car man, some claim the 94-95 GSR's are faster but I highly doubt it. Why many people prefer the 94-95's is because it is OBD1 with many ecu programs/chips available.

there are way to many variables. some people say go with the 94-97 because of the obd1 and some people want a newer model 98+ for a newer motor/tranny and because of its compression and not to forget low mileage and WARRANTY!!!

I mean i just had the classic missed 4th from 3rd @ 8k rpms into 2nd and f-ed the internals up.

its a 2001 with 20,000 miles so hopefully dealership will cover thath shiznit but with a 97 forget about it!
