How much $ could I get for parting out my 02 crashed RSX.
Well insurance just bit me in the *** and they won't total the car. It was $12,-$12,500 in damage after my $500 deductiable. I slid into a tree sideways and wrecked the passenger door, quarterpanel, side skirts, passenger seat, windsheild, passenger side airbag, and 1 tire. How much do you think I could part my car out for. The entire front and rear portion of the car wasn't touched and in perfect condition. Interior is fine minus the passenger seat, door panels, and shift consol. Do you think I could part it out for $8K

You probrably could, but the only problem with that is you will be dealing with alot of lowballers

They said it would take 8 -10 week to finish the car. I need the car for school, work and social events. Plus I have a 10K loan on the car and would have to be paying the monthly payments while it was getting repaired. Also insurance goes up to the mid 400's. It was already $308 a month and after the accident they said its a 30% increase. Being 18 and crashing your car sucks. I know im a retarded for crashing so please don't critize me for it.

you could likely get 8K, but it would take a little time, and you wouldnt make any more than that, so would it really be worth your time?
Do you really want to constantly take small *** parts off your car, ship them, get a few bucks, rinse and repeat?
Parting out your entire car has gotta suck, it'll take you nine years to get your money out of it. If at all possible, I vote just get it fixed and find rides for a while. If isurance is too bad for you, sell the car and get something cheaper to insure. Sorry about your accident. At least you're okay though. Sometimes life teaches you tough lessons, at least you lived through this one, some people aren't so lucky!

EDIT - Keep in mind that during the whole parting phase, you have to keep a non-driveable car shell somewhere. Most neighborhoods don't even allow this. Zero apartment complexes do, and if you live with your parents, they aren't going to like it either!

I think you should fix the car and wait it out. You need to learn your lessen anyways
Down time from the car will be a good thing for you. And I thought you said insurance would only go up $18 a month?

the accident raises my premium 30% however i got the good grade discount so that take of 25% so we were under the impression it would be a 5% increase however the accident knocks off my driving education program which adds on another 15% so it raises between 20-25%
Ok man this is what you do is bye a 500$ hooptie to drive around dont insure it. Keep paying everything. Don't lose your sick *** car because of this. I know you could do it. Borrow some money from some friends to help you get that hooptie. Just try to keep the car.
