Default speedo/odometer not working.

did my h22 about 5- motnhs ago and havent had the speedo/odometer working(everything else works..tach/fuel/temp.I miss knowing how fast im going).I know its not the sensor..because it brandnew. I think I will rewire the whole speedo to sensor..but kinda confused as to where the whole thing ties into the ecu. does the speed signal coming from the sensor "T" off?..or direct to speedo..or ECU. I think it goes like this correct?

SPEED-SENSOR_________________ECU
......................................\
........................................\______Spe edometer/Odometer

Could the speed sensor in the tranny that came with your H22 swap be bad?? I think it is not uncommon for that to happen.

Check that.

If you replaced the VSS with a new one did you make sure you switched over the little metal pin thats between the sensor to the part the sensor bolts too.

im sure its all correct...I think I might have cut a wire in the harness accidentally, I did cut many solenoids off when I drop the h22manual trans in place of the automatic. Doees the signal "t" off from the sensor to the speedo/ecu?

One wire goes the ECU, Blue/White. One goes to the Fuse box, Black/Yellow. and the last one goes to Ground, Black.

Im 95% sure the problem is not Electrical but mechanical.
There is a small metal pin about 1" in length. One of the sides is wider. It is a rectangular pin. It fits inside a hose, the hose has a hollow opening in which the metal pin fits. This controls your cruise control and speedometer, Both are out correct?

I have the same problem, Im just to lazy to fix it.

Most cars have the exact same system for speedo's. Hope this helps.

Well here is a great way to tell if the VSS is working. Does your VTEC work? if it does this means that the ECU is getting a good speed signal.
