just wondering if anyone has anyinfo about this... my project is to put a 2.5 or a 2.25 in exhaust on my 98 LS. is that ok or would it be too much? i have a short ram, and alternator pulley on so far. would i lose anything if i went 2.5? also a guy is goin to do the custom piping for me for $90 but its not mandrel bend. will this mess up anything? to be honest i think i have a factory freak with this Ls because its fast for a LS... but ti IS just my project car...so any info would be appreciated.

2.25 for basic bolt ons..2.50 if our going to build the engine up...

 

If your not going with mandrel bends then go 2.5". I think that a 2.25 mandrel will flow as much as a 2.5" crush bent.

 

Go with a mandrel bent 2.25

 

and 90 bucks is kind of alot for crush bent

agreed. you'll lose some low-end torque if u went 2.5 w/ only boltons. enuff to notice the change...

i got 2.5 mandel bent for 160 for a whole catback

 

go for a 2.25 mandrel bent piping and you will be alot happier. i got a 2.5 piping done and i lost alot of tq. i regret it. thats why i'm trying to sell it. i want a 2.25 mandrel bent piping now.
