Umm, "JDM" tails have orange turn signals.

And yes, there were coupes in Japan.

They did, but the red/clear tails are not jdm, not euro, they're just aftermarket tails like the rest that happen to look very nice. jdm tails are identical to usdm tails except they don't have the little reflector in the corner (w/ the 194 bulb) if i'm not mistaken. Other than that, same red/orange light. So unfortunately, civiksiracer1, those are not jdm, or anything oem tails. If I am wrong tho, plz correct me.

You are correct sir. I know for a fact that the JDM tails are very similar to the USDM tails on the hatches. I want to say they light up on the bottom instead of the top though, and there are no reflectors.
This is 8grandEgs hatch with real deal JDM tails on it:

Actually I think you're confusing the 6g coupe tails w/ 5g 4dr/Cpe tails, the 6g coupes had the reverse signal/brake, and 99-00 had the clear signal part. You could do the 5g ones that way, just buy some old-school full clears and get some candy apple red + clear coat.

A buddy of mine picked up a set for his 5g hatch and was depressed when he saw it was identical 'cept for the 1-less reflector in the corner, lol. on a plus side, it was actual jdm tho

Personally, if I were to tint my tails, I'd only do the turnsignal portion, rather than the whole thing. And earlier I was talking about the red/clear tails, not the smoked ones.
